Sunset Steps

31 the rocks is perfectly perched atop the outcroppings of granite and feldspar, surveying the fields below. Tucked away from highways and their hastiness, it sits amongst eucalypt woodland and pine forest. It is a small but delightful slice of the Granite Belt.

Sunset Steps commences an hour before sunset. You will twine through the trees, over granite rocks and listen to the evening calls of the native birds. Your journey will pause to allow you look to out over the west at the observation point. Follow the sun’s evening descent with a glass of Twisted Gum wine in hand. Breathe in the cool air as you touch and taste the Stanthorpe region.

Finally, your path will lead you to the communal area where, environmental factors allowing, a fire will be lit. Embrace the welcoming ambience, and gather together to reflect and discuss your experience. Feel contentment in affording yourself the opportunity to take a simple, care-free breath and marvel at the world around you.
